Ingredients
The Dough
1 cup warm milk
1/2 sugar
1 tbsp active dry yeast
2 large eggs
6 tbsp salted butter melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
The Filling
1 cup brown sugar
2 1/2 tbsp cinnamon
6 tbsp soft butter
Cream Cheese Frosting
8 oz soft cream cheese
1/4 cup soft butter
2 cups powder sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/8 tsp sea salt
Directions
Make the dough
Warm up the milk in the microwave. Should be warm but not hot.
Place the milk into a bowl of a standing mixer, then add 1 tbsp sugar and the active dry yeast to the warm milk.
Let it sit for 6-8 minutes until it becomes foamy.
Add 1/2 cup sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla to the mixture in the bowl. Use the dough hook to stir until is combined.
Add 4 cups flour salt cinnamon and start knee the dough on medium-low.
Knead dough in the standard mixer until a large ball is formed. The dough should be smooth and slightly sticky.
Cover the bowl and let the dough sit in a warm place for about 1 hour.
Make the filling
While the dough is rising it's time to make the filling.
Mix butter brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl until the mixture is homogenous.
Sprinkle your surface with flour
Press the gas out of the dough and form into a rectangle.
Roll Into about 1/4 inch thick.
Spread the filling over the dough
Roll up your dough and cut it into 12 equal-sized rolls
Place the rolls in a baking dish cover and let rise for another 30 minutes. While they rising preheat the oven to 350 F degrees.
Bake the rolls until they are nicely golden brown.
While they are in the oven make the frosting. Whip up the butter and the cream cheese together and mix with all of the ingredients until is nice and smooth. If the rolls are done let them cool down.
Serve with the frosting on the top. Enjoy
